LOLA FAYE HARRISON, 93, First United Methodist Church

LAKELAND - Lola Faye Harrison, 93, of Lakeland, passed away December 22, 2013 due to natural causes. She moved to Lakeland in 1976 after retiring as a teacher at Tinley Park, District 146, in Illinois.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lakeland, an Auxiliary member of the American Legion, and was a volunteer teacher's aide in the Lakeland school district. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, and helping her neighbors.

She is survived by a son, Steven Harrison and wife Mary of Wisconsin, a daughter Kay Teehan and husband Larry Griffin of Winter Haven, a sister Ellen Wolfe of Ill; six grandchildren and four great grandsons. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28 at 3 00 pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, with a visitation starting at 2 00 pm.

Burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell will be on Monday, December 30 at 1 00 pm.

The family has requested that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association Florida Gulf Coast, 14010 Roosevelt Avenue, Suite 709, Clearwater, Florida 33762.
