Sherry Abercrombie Evans, age 71, of Bessemer, AL passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. Sherry was a member of Arnolds Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from AmSouth Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene Evans and her parents, Thomas Jack and Thelma Abercrombie. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, extended loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Arnolds Chapel United Methodist with burial in adjoining cemetery. Bro. Mitch Abercrombie will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Arnolds Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8110 Bluff Ridge Road, Bessemer, AL 35022.
