Deborah Ann "Debby" Stout, 59 of Muskogee, passed away Monday afternoon, March 10, 2014, surrounded by her family. "Debby", as most knew her, was born February 24, 1955 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Harry and Dolores Colleen (Wilson) Jackson. She grew up and attended the public schools in Warner, Oklahoma, graduating with the class of 1973. Debby was very involved at school, playing on the Lady Eagle's basketball team and she was also a cheerleader. She was also very active at Warner First Baptist Church, singing in the Church Choir and attending Falls Creek in the summers. After high school, she attended Connors State College and Northeastern State University, earning an Associate's Degree. On August 8, 1975 Debby married the love of her life and her high school sweetheart, Donald Ray "Don" Stout at First Baptist Church in Warner. They celebrated over 38 years of marriage together. Debby, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, supported the Hilldale Athletic Programs avidly. She enjoyed going to the games as a supporter of the players but also to support her husband, Don who coached Football for Hilldale for many years. Caring and providing for family was Debby's greatest job. She could always be found coordinating special occasions, birthday and holidays for her family. Her family kindly remembers how she loved and enjoyed making these events special.
For many years, Debby worked for Connors State College as the Business Office Manager, retiring in 2005. After retiring from Connors Debby embarked on a new career as a Legal Instruments Examiner with the Veteran's Administration Regional Office in Muskogee, retiring in 2013. In 2011, she and Don began attending New Hope Assembly Of God in Muskogee. Debby is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry Jackson Sr. and Edith Jackson of Del City and Woodrow and Irene Wilson of Checotah.
