Dwight M. Barton, 80, of Elizabeth Township, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006. He was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Wilson to the late Hobart M. and Clara Wilkins Barton and also was predeceased by brother Allen F. Barton. Mr. Barton attended New Hope Assembly of God, Elizabeth Township, and was retired from USX's Clairton Works, a World War II Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 553 and a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7632. Loving husband of June E. Williams Barton. Loving father of Vaughana "Vonnie" (Don Ray) Ritzer, Colleen (Scott) Gregory and Kimberly (Brian) Olcott, of Elizabeth Township. Loving grandfather of Brandy Blazevich, Crystal Aston, Misty Franks, Lindsay and Benjamin Dwight Olcott and Garrett Gregory. Loving great-grandfather of Alexis and Payton Blazevich and Dylan Franks. Loving brother of Hobart M. Barton, of Elizabeth Borough, and Edwin A. Barton, of Elizabeth Township. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel with Pastor Lance T. O'Brien and Clinton Blazevich officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
