Gregory A. Hickey, 49, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Russellville, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 12, 1964, at Russellville to Ralph and Barbara E. Tackett Hickey. He was a 1982 graduate of Russellville High School and attended ATU. He was a salesman with American General Life Insurance Company and later for AT&T. He was a member of the DeMolay International and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a professional musician and singer, having written and produced several CD's. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hickey; paternal grandparents, Noel & Lois Hickey; and maternal grandparents, Earnest Tackett and Sena Tackett Brown.
Survivors include two sons, Aaron Hickey of Tulsa and Brett Nelson of Russellville; two daughters, Chelsey Hickey of Russellville and April Lyn Hickey of Tulsa; his mother, Barbara Hickey of Russellville; a brother, Nathan Hickey of Russellville; two grandchildren, Briana and Bryson Woodard, both of Russellville; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Humphrey Chapel with the Rev. Dan Baker officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery in Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Steve and Larry Lay, Leonard Elliot and Heady Nezhadpour. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Muldoon and Larry English.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time on Friday, at the funeral home.
