She loved being with all of her family and friends, feeding the birds, taking care of her flowers and making quilts.
Ruth was a member of the Olney Church of the Nazarene. She married John Osborn on January 1, 1935.
Ruth leaves behind daughters Barb (Bob) Edwards; Ginger Duff and good friend Jim Tolliver; Donna (Curt) Hosselton; Sue (Larry) Harbert -Poehler; Becky (Butch) Franklin; sons John Osborn; Jack (Jenny) Osborn and Ritchie Osborn and good friend Janice; sister Rena Van Amburg of New York, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; four brothers; husbands John Osborn, Kenneth O'Dell and Rex Shipley; grandson Carroll Dean Duff; two sons-in-law Charles D. Duff and Rich Harbert; and step-daughter Doris Lee Jackson.
A celebration of Ruth's life will be at 10:00am, March 18, 2014, at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney, IL. A private funeral service will be at 11:00am and burial will immediately follow at the Zif Cemetery. The ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Chris Jennette and music by Bob Birge.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff of Emerald Glen and Burgin Manor and hospice care for the excellent and loving care they provided for our Mom.
