John Bennett Alter passed away on Friday March 7, 2014 at his home from natural causes. John was born November 12, 1961 in Boise Idaho to Lester & Evelyn Alter. He attended Valley View Elementary, Fairmont Jr. High and Capital High School.
John enjoyed the outdoors and spent many years as a member of the Owyhee Motorcycle Club where he raced motocross and hung out with his family and friends.
John had a kind heart and derived great pleasure from helping others.
He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn and is survived by his father Lester Alter, his sister Evelyn Murray and brother-in-law Jim, brother Lester and sister-in-law Denise, niece Holly Heavener and her husband Dave, nephew Scott McPhereson and great nephew Ryan Heavener.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 14th at 2 pm at Cloverdale funeral home.
