Norman E. Larsen of Kansas City, Mo., transitioned from earth to heaven to be with Jesus on March 9, 2014. Born June 11, 1931, to James and Pearle Larsen, he entered the U.S. Navy in 1950, and served aboard the U.S.S. Kermit Roosevelt. After discharge, he served with The Navigators in Colorado, and then had a long career in mfg. In September, 1955, he married Lucile Schmidt, who preceded him in death in 1995. Later that year, he married Carolyn Stuhrman, who survives him along with three children, Lauri Larsen, Opal Knight, and Suzanne Ebert (William), grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents, three sons preceded him in death, Randy, Toney, and James and his wife Sheila. Visitation at 10 a.m., funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall Rd, KCMO. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby Kan. Burial in Beulah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stonecroft Ministries or Colonial Presbyterian Church.
