Glenn O. Denson, a longtime resident of West Columbia, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2008, at his residence in Cleveland, Texas, after a long battle with Alzheimer?s. He was born March 8, 1928, in Livingston, Texas, to Madie and B.C. Denson. He and his wife, Patsy, moved to West Columbia in 1965 and owned Denson's Lumber Company until 1971. They then were the owners of Denson's Upholstery and Window Decorations until they retired to Cleveland, Texas in 2008.

Glenn was a loving and caring husband, father and Papa who loved spending time with family and friends. He loved being involved in any activity that his children and then grandchildren were involved in. Whether it be sporting events, school programs or outside interests, he was always there.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Madie and B.C. Denson; sister, Billie Lynch; and two sons, Lee Denson and Stephen Denson; and great-grandson, Christopher Baca.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Denson; sisters, Joy Taylor of Lubbock, Texas, and Durene Stewart of West Columbia; sons, Daniel Denson and wife, Judy, of Brazoria, Brad Denson and wife, Michelle, of Osburn, Idaho; niece, Durenda Hall and husband, Sonny, of Sweeny; grandchildren, Dana Bush and husband, Eric, Matt Denson and wife, Jamie, Staci Denson and Josh Naylor, Lindsey Denson, Amy Gillmore and husband, T.J., Jelena Denson, Sydney Denson and Connor Denson; nephews, Stephen Hall and wife, Karen, and Rusty Hall; great-grandchildren, Kaytee Bilbrey, Korben Denson, Grayson Bush, Kaylor Denson, Kamryn Bush, Karma Naylor, Kristopher Denson and Melanie Hall.

Pallbearers will be Eric Bush, Josh Naylor, Matt Denson, Scott Whitt, Steven Hall, Buddy Bean and Billy Bob Middleton.

Funeral services will be held at Baker Funeral Home Monday, November 10, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.

Arrangements are by Baker Funeral Home, 634 S. Columbia Drive, West Columbia.
