I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK

NANCY KAY SPARKS, 56, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away at Unity Point Healthcare Trinity, Rock Island Saturday afternoon March 8, 2014, following an Acute Myocardial Infraction (Massive Heart Attack).

A mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Nancy was born on July 21, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Gordon W. and Margaret (Ginter) Hooks. She married David Sparks on January 31, 1981 in Rock Island.

Mrs. Sparks had worked for the Rock Island School District in the lunch program at Audubon Elementary School. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Nancy loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She thought they were the greatest children in the whole world, she will be greatly missed in watching them grow into adulthood. She also enjoyed crafts and sewing.

She is survived by her husband David; children: Adam Sparks, Rock Island; Meagan (Andy) Bindewald, Orion, Illinois; grandchildren: Abby and Noah; siblings, Sandra (Hermn) Meyer, Barbara Terrell, Cathy(Steve) Krieg, Linda Hooks, janet (Rick) Schultz, John (Diane) Hooks, Tom (Diana) Hooks; sister in law, Jacque Hooks and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William.
