Colleen M. Parker, age 72, of Toledo, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at home after a long illness. She was born on March 28, 1941 to Lewis and Kathryn (Whitaker) Lawrence in Willard, Ohio. Colleen enjoyed garage sales, auctions, gardening and a collector of Fenton baskets and figurines. She used to love to camp and do outdoor activities. Colleen loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, Madison and her dogs, Missy and Gizmo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Parker, December 8, 2013; her brother, Gary Lawrence; and nephew, Robby Kay. Colleen is survived by her loving son, Jason Parker; granddaughter, Madison Parker; sisters, Carol (Ken) Kay, Linda (Ralph) Hohn and Kathy Haupricht; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the family.
