Mass of Christian Burial for Adeline P. Ebnet, age 82 of Albany, formerly of Holdingford will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Holdingford. Fr. Gerald Mischke will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Adeline died Sunday at the Albany Hospital.
Friends may call from 4-9 PM Wednesday (Today) and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford. Christian Mothers, St. Joseph's Society, and Senior Citizens will all pray at 7:30 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Adeline was born March 4, 1926 in St. Francis to Henry and Bernadina (Boeckers) Pohlmann. As a young lady she worked for Dr. Roelke. She married Joseph T. Ebnet on May 26, 1947 in Melrose. Adeline and Joseph farmed together west of Holdingford until 1985, when they retired from farming. Adeline continued to work and worked for the Holdingford school for several years in the kitchen and as a cook at the Senior Citizens Center until 2002.
Joe preceded her in death on August 16, 2004. Adeline was a member of St. Mary's where she was a choir member, sacristan, and on the funeral lunch committee for 48 years. She was also a member of Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid, St. Joseph's Society, St. Elizabeth's, Mission Group, and Senior Citizens. She was a Red Cross volunteer, 4-H Leader, served on the School Advisory Council from 1988 - 2001, and was active in Helping Hands and the 500 Card Club. In her spare time she enjoyed square dancing, quilting, and card playing.

Adeline is survived by her children, Dale (Lou Ann), Little Falls, Donald (Sandie), Holdingford, Marion (Ronald) Leners, Bowlus, Mark (Mary), Joel (Kathy), both Holdingford, Joyce (Ben) Budde, Avon, Lisa (Dave) Vogel, Melrose; and 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; infant son, Joseph in 1956, sisters and brother, Olivia, Veronica, Florence, and Evelyn Koopmeiners, Brigitta Borgerding, and Jerome Pohlmann.
