Paul was born as the second son and 5th child of Reese and Vida Lewis. His youth was spent in Sugar City and later in Ammon on a small hobby farm that his Mom and Dad operated. Paul was a graduate of Bonneville High School, class of 1972. And later attended classes at Idaho State University.
After high school, Paul enlisted in the Navy and married his high school sweetheart Carroyle Seal, Paul and Carroyle were blessed with three boys, Oren, Nathaniel, and Steven.
While in the Navy, Paul was stationed on Midway Island in the Pacific for the bulk of his service. Paul later served in both the Naval and Army Reserves. He was proud of his military service and his status as a veteran. His military service connected him to his grandfather, father, and his son, Steven, who all served honorably in the Armed Forces.
Following a divorce from Carroyle, Paul married Dian McQueen and they were the proud parents of another boy, Sean. Paul also chose to adopt Dian's daughter from a previous marriage which added Heather to the family.
After Paul and Dian parted ways, Paul later married Madeline Rank, and together they brought Briana into the world.
Paul's final marriage was to Arlene Blaha Horton, who brought her daughter Patricia into the family. Paul and Trish have always had a special relationship and although Paul has been estranged from Arlene for many years, Trish and her family continue to be a special branch of the Lewis Family Tree.
Though he always dreamed of becoming an architect, Paul's career spanned many industries and job types. He most recently worked as a procurement clerk for Spacek Labs in Santa Barbara, CA.
Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Reese and Vida and his sister, Chloe.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, Rexburg, ID. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Flamm Funeral Home, prior to funeral services. Interment will be in Sugar City Cemetery under the care of Flamm Funeral Home.
