Pioneer Lodi Woman Passes
Mrs. Addie H. Ferdun, one of the pioneer women of the Lodi district, passed away Tuesday morning at her home at 317 West Walnut street following an extended illness. She was a native of Augusta, Maine, aged 82 years.
She was the widow of the late Samuel Ferdun; mother of Charles M. Ferdun and Ernest E. Ferdun, both of Lodi; grandmother of Clarence, Richmond, Stanley, Charles and Gladys Ferdun.
Deceased had resided in this district for more than 50 years. She was an active worker in church and social circles and was noted for her many charitable deeds.
Her passing will be mourned by a large circle of friends and acquaintances who loved her for her kindly disposition and sweet character.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel of Hale & Bawden with Rev. Reubon Sink of Stockton officiating. Interment will be made in Lodi cemetery with the members of Flora Rebekah lodge officiating at the last rites at the grave.
