Mrs. Williams was a retired teacher from Carrizozo & Capitan Public Schools, where she taught in the primary grades. She was honored with Teacher of the Year in 1980 for the State of New Mexico. She moved to Alamogordo in 1990 after living in Nogal for 23 years. Phoenix for 4 years and Las Cruces for 14 years.
Survivors include her son, Miles "Buddy" Williams IV, El Paso, TX; two daughters, Carol Ann Harber and husband Gary of Lubbock, TX and Lynne Morris and husband, James, of Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughter Claire Sanders of Austin, TX and a brother Weyman E. Hartley, El Paso, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Miles Evermont Williams III and a brother Brazel Carl Hartley.
The Williams family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
