John Welford "Bill" Sullins

John W. "Bill" Sullins, age 75, of Bristol, TN passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 31, 1935 to the late Charlie Sullins and Virginia Gobble Sullins.

He had lived in the Bristol area all of his life and was a retired driver for Pony Express.
He had also worked for Monroe and for Purity Bakery.

Mr. Sullins was of the Baptist faith and attended Bethel Baptist Church.

He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors:
Wife: Dana L. Statzer Sullins
Son: Doug Sullins and wife Brenda, Greg Sullins
Daughter: R. Kay Nixon and husband Danny
Brothers: Frank Sullins and wife Ann, Ronnie Sullins and wife Loraine, Larry Sullins and wife Dawn
Sister: Shirley Dollar and husband Harold
Aunts: Alice Webb. Florence Miles
Grandchildren: Amber Sullins, Leslie Sullins, Matthew Nixon, Justin Nixon
Several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 8:00 PM from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Dillard officiating.

Music will be under the direction of Mr. Thomas Sullins.

The committal service and burial will be at Forest Hills Memory Gardens on Thursday at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be David Statzer, Ronnie Hubbard, Chris Sullins, Rob Sullins, Tony Sullins, Justin Nixon, Mark Statzer, and Danny Nixon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Amber Sullins, Leslie Sullins, Justin Nixon, and Matthew Nixon.

Military honors will be provided by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Townsend, the staff of Wellmont Bristol Regional Hospital, and to the Cambridge House.
