Martha L. Spaur, daughter of Abel & Nancy S. Butcher Spaur, was born July 31,1876 in Lewis County, West Virginia. She married David William Dawson on July 12, 1900 in her father's home in Lewis County, West Virginia. In the 1920 W.Va. census it showed they had 2 daughters, Betha O. & Eva Dawson. Her husband died on Feb 5, 1933 with influenza in the Collins Settlement, Walkersville,W.Va. Martha passed away Sep 4, 1952 in Walkersville, Lewis County, W.Va. with burial in Long Point Cemetery.
