Joel Wayne "Joey" Moore, 48, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Richardson Funeral Home, burial will follow at Palmetto Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, March 10, from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore was born in Marion a son of Sidney Marcella Moore of Marion and the late Charlie Bunyan Moore, Sr. He is also predeceased by a sister, Jackie Moore. Mr. Moore had worked for Blumenthal, and was a graduate of Marion High School.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Moore is survived by a son, Jacob Wayne Moore of Fork, SC; daughters, Jessica Johnson (Kory) of Marion, Breanna Moore (Alan) of Marion, and Heather Moore (Gage) also of Marion; brothers, Charlie Moore, Jr. (Kathy), Danny Moore (Sandra), and Randy Moore (Rhonda) all of Marion; sisters, Patricia Owens of Marion, Linda Barnhill (J.A.) of Mullins, Lou Sawyer (Donald) of Marion, Buffy Smith (Terry ) of Marion, Donna Pridgen (Johnny) of Marion; his former wife and mother of his children, Brenda Moore of Marion; as well as five grandchildren: Korlyn and Paisley Johnson, Brantley and Braylee Caulder, and Carter Ivey.
