SMITHVILLE — Mrs. Doritha E Thompson, 54, wife of Harold M. Thompson, died unexpectedly in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, Sunday. She had been a patient for nine hours. Burial will be in Smithville cemetery. Surviving are her husband; a son Harold W., at home; two daughters at home, Patricia A. and Pamela G.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Dockstader, Richland and Miss Nina Nichols, Pulaski; three brothers, Sherman Nichols, Dexter, Ralph W. of Pulaski and Earl F., Syracuse. She was born in the town of Ellisburg on Dec. 30, 1913, a daughter of Walter and Hattie Silsby Nichols. After attending Henderson Central school, she was married to Harold M. Thompson on Aug. 26, 1938 at Sackets Harbor by justice of the peace, Isaac Stokes. The couple lived in the vicinity of Smithville and came to live in the town ten years ago.
