Howard M. Allred, 82, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, in a local hospital.



Mr. Allred was born Dec. 30, 1922, in Bingham, Utah. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service, a former employee for Texaco Oil Co., Midland, Texas, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2549, a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church and a World War II Air Force veteran.



Survivors include his wife, Audrey Allred of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Karla Allred of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Sarah Beth Pryor, Jonathan Allred and Zackary Allred of Texarkana; and one stepgrandson, Clayton Trammel of Texarkana.



Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.



Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
