Funeral Services Gerald “Bud” Clark to Be held Sunday
Body of Ord Soldier Killed in Battle of Bulge to Be Laid to Rest Here.
Funeral services for Gerald “Bud” Clark, who was killed in Luxemburg on December 26, 1944, in the Battle of the Bulge, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church. Interment will be in the Ord cemetery, with committal rites in charge of Veterans of foreign Wars and American Legion.
Gerald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clark of Ord, both of whom survive him. He is also survived by his wife, Arlene, of Loup City, a sister, Mrs. George Knecht of Ord, and a brother, Ray of Ord.
A member of Company A, 2nd Infantry, and the Seventh Army, Gerald enlisted May 5, 1944. He received training at Camp Hood, Texas, and went overseas in October 1944. He was born December 10, 1918, in Ord, and was a graduate of Ord High School.
