Henry Kyser and his family lived across the street on Tarleton Ave from the Harry A. Balcom Family. I heard about them all my life from my mother, Mary Balcom Linn. The Kyser and Balcom children were very close. There was a tree in the front yard of the Kyser home grafted with deer horns by Mr Kyser. He was a veteran of the Confederacy. Virginia Kyser was an Episcopalian, and a noted maker of fine clergy vestments. (Information courtesy Mary Ann Linn LaRue)
