FRANK HEISE, SR., FORMER RESIDENT, DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Frank Christopher Heise, Sr., 81, former Delta resident, died Monday in Los Angeles, California of infirmities incident to age. Funeral services are tentatively planned for Friday in Murray. Mr. Heise was born August 26, in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, a son of William and Fredricka Heise. He moved to Nebraska in 1890 where he married Amelia Mueller in February of that year. In 1906 he moved to Kansas and in 1910 back to Nebraska where he ran a mercantile store. Arriving in Delta in 1912, he was one of the first farmers to settle on the North Tract. An active member of the Lutheran Church, he served on the Millard County School Board and was a member of the Delta IOOF Lodge. He and Mrs. Heise celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 1940. He lived on the North Tract until he had a stroke in 1940 and had lived in California since that time. Surviving are his widow of Magna; seven sons and daughters, Mrs. Cora H. Pritchett, Meridian, Idaho; William, A.P. And M. Carl Heise of Libby, Montana; Mrs. Martha H. Buchanan, Los Angeles, California; Frank H. Heise, Delta; Edwin F. Heise, Magna and Mrs. Hazel H. Fairchild, Garfield and 10 grandchildren.
