DERRY - Jaime E. Taylor-Harper, 37, of Derry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at her parent's home in Derry, following a courageous struggle with a brain tumor.

She was born on June 18, 1976, in Boston, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Joanna (Williams) Taylor. Jaime was a resident of Derry for most of her life. She graduated from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Fla., with a bachelor's degree. She also went to school for massage therapy and worked as a massage therapist for Serendipity Day Spa in Concord. Jaime had a zest for life and was a multifaceted woman with many interests. She enjoyed photography, traveling the world and gourmet cooking using organic and natural ingredients. Jaime was extremely creative and artistic. Jaime wrote a children's book that her father, Benjamin, illustrated. But her passion was music. She has recorded two albums, the most recent being "Old Soul, New Generation." She was also in a band, Jaime Taylor and the Element, and taught music lessons.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her husband, Mark Harper; three stepchildren she loved as her own, Jamie, Michael, and Daniel Harper; one sister, Carolyn V. Pierce; two brothers, Benjamin S. Taylor and Timothy N. Taylor; one nephew, David Taylor; maternal grandfather, Carl B. Williams and his wife, Rollande; aunts, Gretchen Freeman and Lauren Williams; uncle, Larry Baptiste; mother-in-law, Linda Jackson and her husband, Rich; as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
