Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brent Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery. The family is receiving friends on Monday, March 3rd, 6PM – 9 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Waters was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, an Emory University Alumnus and a member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church. He was retired from GEICO, where he served as a Regional Claims Director. "Rally" was an avid golfer and he held a deep rooted love for his native state of North Carolina. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Roy is survived by his wife, Pat Waters; children, Cherry Waters, Kerry (Kathy) Waters, Jon (Denise) Waters, Jeff (Nadine) Waters, Cindy Amann, Lori (Dale) Winters, Keith (Tracy) Waters; brother, Dewey (Janice) Waters; 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
