Charlotte W. Pierce, 90, of North Falmouth, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014 at Falmouth Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Pierce to whom she was married for 65 years. She was born in Ratibor, Germany. While living in Peterborough, NH, she volunteered at Monadnock Community Hospital and helped establish Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed signing and leading the choir at St. Peter's Parish. She was also a music teacher at St. Patrick School in Jaffrey, NH. She enjoyed traveling and was a sponsor for Children International. Charlotte was an avid artist and participated in Community Auditions in Boston. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children: Charlotte Cortez of Laconia, NH; Arnold and his wife, Mary, of Laconia, NH; and Heidi Zweimuller and her husband, Gunther, of Los Angeles, CA and Jackson NH. She was grandmother to Timothy Aither and his wife, Jennifer, of Ripon, WI; Christian Pierce and his wife, Jessica of Tucker, GA; Nicholas Pierce and his wife, Courtney, of Boston, MA; Natalie Heidi Zweimuller and her companion, Lucas, of Newfield, NH; Gunther Richard (Fuzzy) Zweimuller and his companion, Becky, of AZ, and the late Jeffrey Aither. She is great-grandmother to Joseph Zweimuller and Isabelle Heidi Zweimuller, both of Newfield, NH and Parkman Arthur Pierce of Boston, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was predeceased by her brother Walter Wend.
Visiting Hours will be Sunday, March 9, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Route 28A), WEST FALMOUTH.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Quaker Road, North Falmouth. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Falmouth. Donations in her memory may be made to Hope Dementia & Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod & Islands, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
