Irma Jean Collins, 74, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Candler County Hospital.
The lifelong resident of Tattnall County was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a seamstress at Rosebud Manufacturing and loved reading and Gospel music. She was predeceased by her husband, Leavy Collins, and a granddaughter, Christy Lyn Lively.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Collins of Arcadia, R. D. and Joan Collins of Reidsville, George Collins of Collins, Michael and Christy Collins of Milan and Stacey Collins of Collins; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Jean and Morris Lively of Collins, Barbara and Randy Hackle of Cobbtown and Vicki Gaffney of Johnson Corner; a brother, Ronnie Sikes of Metter; sisters, Willodene Collins of Eastman, Frances S. Beasley and Brenda S. Beasley, both of Metter; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday (today) at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial in Connors Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.
The Rev. Jim Rogers and Rev. Charles Beasley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Edward Kennedy, Raymond Brown, Buddy Collins, Danny Ray Collins, Larry Dean Collins and Johnny Beasley.
Remembrances can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Vista Care Hospice.
Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
