Jewell Pritchard Teague, 74, of Union Grove Road, Lenoir, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at Carolina's Medical Center. She was born October 5, 1932 in Burke County to the late Edgar A. and Ellen Moore Pritchard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Troy A. Pritchard, Esmond J. Pritchard and Erchel L. Pritchard; two sisters, Geneva P. Reid and Marie Pritchard. She was a retired hair stylist and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Ralph Walter Teague of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Sandra T. Haigler and her husband Eddie and Mrs. Sharon T. Coggin and her husband Jimmy, all of Hudson; four brothers, Roy Pritchard, Paul Pritchard, Grover Pritchard and Bob Pritchard; five sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Almond, Mrs. Marilyn Pearson, Mrs. Shirley Fulbright, all of Valdese, Mrs. Betty Conley of Connelly Springs and Mrs. Mickie Johnson of Morganton; and one grandchild, Lindsey Michelle Haigler of Hudson. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Craven. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be David Pritchard, Jeff Pritchard, Ricky Swink, Ronnie Swink, Jason Pritchard and John Rhodes.
