Nancy A. (Anderson) Eason, birth name, Verdi Louise Rogers, age 74 of Courtland, Ill., formerly of Elgin, Ill. and Franklin, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill.
Born April 14, 1932 in Jefferson City, she was the daughter of James (Joe) and Frances (Pollard) Rogers, and the adopted daughter of Lester and Lola Anderson. She was an avid collector of cookbooks. She is remembered for her good sense of humor. She was loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James (Joe) and Frances Rogers; adopted parents, Lester and Lola Anderson; brother, Tilford Rogers; son, David Ansel Eason, Jr.; niece, Tammy Louise Rose Rogers. Nancy is survived by her husband, David Eason; children, Eva Gray-Meler, Julie Ann VanDyke, Lola Jeannette Misitano; son-in-laws, Tom VanDyke, Bobby Misitano; brother, J.D. and Ruth Ann Rogers; sister, Bettye and Herbert Harper; grandchildren, Jennie, Tiffany, Nicole, Tommy, Joey, Brody, Jessica, Sebastian, Madison, Hope, Wyatt; great grandchildren, Nikko, Juliana, Eva, Nicholas, Axel; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Peden officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery
