Rev. Abraham E. Davis was born on November 16, 1934 and passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Age 79. He was a retired United Methodist Minister having served as Pastor of several churches in the Louisiana Annual Conference for over (50) years. He also retired in 2005 after serving as Pastor of First Street United Methodist Church for (31) years. Son of the late Herbert and Christina Davis. Husband of Beloved Wife the late Muriel Davis. Father of Gretenal M. Davis, Carol D. Gillard, Iris (Curtis) Turner and Anita (Troy) Hamm. Brother of Percie Mae King and the late Herbert, Wilson, Anthony Davis and Philomena Wilson. Also survived by grandchildren, Robert, Eric, Troy Jr., Lance, Sarah and Jamall, great Grandchildren, Elle, Ethan and Naiya and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastors, Officers and Members of First Street Peck Wesley United Methodist Church are invited to attend the Visitation on Monday, March 10, 2014 at First Street Peck Wesley United Methodist Church, 2309 Dryades Street from 8:00 am until 11:00 am.
