Mrs. Esta (Harvey) DeGroff, 74, a resident of the Stephenson Nursing Center, died Friday at Freeport Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Ridott United Methodist Church.
Born Sept. 7, 1906, in Ridott Township, she was the daughter of Daniel and Jennie (Matter) Daughenbaugh. She married Harvey DeGroff June 24, 1933, in Ridott. He died Jan. 17, 1980.
Surviving is one brother, Glenn Daughenbaugh of Freeport, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Ridott United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dennis McMillian will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota, and after noon Monday at the church.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
