Actress. She will be best remembered for playing 'Alice Kramden' (made famous by Audrey Meadows in "The Honeymooners") on the TV program "The Jackie Gleason Show" (1966 to 1970). Born Sheila Margaret Stephens, she moved with her family to Long Island prior to the beginning of World War II and in 1941, she married entertainer Gordon MacRae. Their union produced daughters Meredith and Heather MacRae who both became successful actresses. Along with Gordon, they performed together on the nightclub circuit, as well as on several popular TV programs, among them "The Jack Parr Program" and "The Ed Sullivan Show". Sheila also became associated with the game shows "I've Got a Secret", "What's My Line?" and "The Hollywood Squares". After her marriage to MacRae ended in divorce, she was briefly married to TV producer Ronald Wayne.
