Note: A lawsuit for partition was filed in the Craven Co, Superior Ct in 1899; among others, it mentions Lemon & Martha Harris Casey being entitled to one-sixth of the lands in the estate of her father, Thomas Harris. On Oct. 28, 1899, Sarah Harris, widow of Thomas Harris, asked the Court to allow her to be part of the suit against Jacob Harris, et. al., accusing him of fraud.

Note: Thomas Harris died first, then his wife Sarah.
