FRANK D. BARBER, 54, of Cardiff, died yesterday at Crouse-Irving Hospital after a short illness. He was a crane operator for Solvay Process, and had made his home in Cardiff 12 years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Johnson of Syracuse; three brothers, Merton, Matthew and James Barber; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Gridley and Mrs. Angeline Billings, and six grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in LaFayette. Interment will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
