Notes: Peter A. Bungart, for 25 years a member of the staff of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, died yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Lorain. Mr. Bungart was 72 and had made his home at 404 Concorn Drive, Lorain, the last 40 years. Famed as an archaeologist and paleontologist, Mr. Bungart had assembled outstanding collections in these two branches of natural history for the Cleveland Museum. He was credited with the discovery of a species of dinichthys, a prehistoric fish. It has been designated as the "Bungartus" in his honor. Mr. Bungart was an honorary member of the Scientific Society of America and also belonged to the Ohio Indian Geographical Society. His wife, Margie; a sister, Dora of Avon, O.; and two brothers, Rev. Francis Bungart of Cincinnati and Alvah of Cleveland, survives. Rev. C. F. Jones, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Lorain, will officiate at services at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Reichlin-Cooley funeral home, Lorain. Burial will be in Ridgehill Cemetery here.
