Marianne Jefferson Taylor,63,of Crisp passed away Saturday, October 5,2013 surrounded by family and friends after a lengthy illness. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Pinetops Baptist Church with the Rev. John Melancon officiating. Burial will follow in Queen Anne Cemetery, Fountain, N.C. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Willie Raymond and Thelma Jefferson, a sister, Marion Jefferson Dilda and brother John Dwight Jefferson. Marianne is survived nby her husband Larry of 45 years and the sunshine of her life, daughter Melissa and husband Bernie Taylor of Rocky Mount, mother-in-law Hazel Ellis Taylor of Tarboro, brother Roger Dail Jefferson and wife Anne of Pinetops, sisters Edwina Barry of Fountain and Marie McKeel of Tarboro, sister-in-law Kay Walston and husband Allen of Macclesfield, 13 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Carlisle Funeral Home.
