July 1975 – Reunion. Family members, many of who hadn’t seen each other for 20 years met at the B. W. Newitt residence in Spanish Fork last week for a reunion of descendants of George Newitt. There were 90 persons gathered including many from California, Washington, Arizona and Colorado.

Colorful picnic tables were spread on the lawn back of the Newitt home Wednesday. Following a dinner, a lovely program was enjoyed, and the evening was rounded out listening to guitar and country music rendered by Joe Newitt and Roger Privett.

Thursday morning saw the family gathered at 7 a.m. for a breakfast of pancakes, after which they enjoyed the 24th of July parade from the Newitt’s front lawn. That evening the group enjoyed the rodeo and more visiting.

Those attending the reunion were the families of Mattie Newitt Frie, Guilford Newitt, Ann Newitt Miller, Barney Newitt, Ina Newitt Barret, Clif Newitt and Blanch Newitt DeFranzo. –The Daily Herald, Wed. July 30, 1975, Page 6.
