Jessica Nicole Ellis, former Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 33.
Jessica was born November 4, 1980 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents, Sammy Lee Cathey and Judith Ann Ellis. Jessica grew up in the Seminole and Tecumseh area, graduating from Seminole High School in 1999 and attended college for two years.
Jessica was secretary of accounting with Cintas Uniforms of Oklahoma City and she was of the Baptist faith.
Jessica is survived by fathers, Sammy Cathey and David Crowson both of Texas; brother, Shannon Lee Cathey and his wife Edie, and daughter Alexandria of Bowlegs, Oklahoma; sister, Shawna Kay Martinez and husband Alfredo of Bowlegs, uncles and aunts; Bob and Mary Williams, Tommy and Linda Ellis, Paul Kennedy, Mary Kay Westphal and husband David, and Wanda James all of Seminole. Also surviving Jessica are special cousins, Michelle (Williams) and Jason Kelley, and special nieces, Lauren Kelley, Kendyl Kelley, Ragan Kelley and a host of cousins and friends including best friend and caregiver Carmen Paslay of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Jessica was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Ann Ellis, her grandparents; Clyde and Fannie Ellis, Doc and Rose Mary Cathey, and an uncle Jessie Ellis.
The family would like to thank everyone for sitting with Jessica during her illness and everyone who cared about Jessica.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Hennen officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma.
Serving as casket bearers are: David Westphal, Jason Kelley, Ashley Talbert, Brian Benson, Paul Kennedy, Chris Hobbs, Jared Brinkman, Jesse Brinkman, Eric Cosgrove and James Paslay. Flowers girls are: Ragan Kelley, Kendyl Kelley and Lauren Kelley.
