Funeral services for Michael Jefferson Maier, 80, of Monterey,LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday on Tuesday, March 04, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Bro. C.D. Beard and Bro. Dillon Wickliffe officiating.

Interment will follow at Oswalt Cemetery, Lismore, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Michael Jefferson Maier was born on Thursday, February 15, 1934 in Lismore, LA. and passed away Saturday, March 01, 2014 at Riverland Medical Center . He was a resident of Monterey, a member of Lismore Baptist Church and a truck driver for many years. He served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was preceeded in death by:

Mother, Margaret Dunn Maier
Brother, Jimmy Maier

Survivors include:
Son, Mickey and his wife, Jolene Maier of Magnolia, Ms, Son, Paul Edward Maier of McComb, Ms, Daughter, Viola and husband, Jim McCullough of McComb, MS, and Brother, Arthur Maier of Monterey, LA.
He is also survived by 41 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Maier Jr., L.V. Bolyer, Frank Peebles, Herman Wiley, Charlie Harris, and Lane Bronco
