HOLT, EDWIN J. - age 76, of 7267 Big Sandy Rd., Philadelphia, passed away Thursday morning, October 17, 2001, at Park West Hospital. Edwin was a retired Machinist Foreman at Y-12 Oak Ridge, and a member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church. Son of the late Roy and Bernice Reed Holt. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors: wife, Estelle Brackett Holt; children, Larry W. Holt and wife, Mary of Corryton, and Phyllis Holt of Nashville; five grandchildren, Hillary Evans, Garrett Evans, Jenny Holt, Rebecca Ware and Jason Ware; brothers, Byrle Holt and Alvin Holt; sisters, Roella Holt and Wanda Faye Holt, all of Newport, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday, Cedar Fork Baptist Church, Rev. Jerre Guthrie officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before services. Interment in Cedar Fork Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post #120 and V.F.W. Post 5150, Loudon. Honorary Pallbearers: Adult Men's Sunday School Class of Cedar Fork Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, Loudon Funeral Home.
