Mr. Harold Odell Moss age 63 of Columbia died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his residence.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, April 29, 2913 from 12:00 pm till 1:00 pm at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with services to follow at 1:00 pm at the Church with Elder Chris Norwood eulogist. The body will lie-in-State Sunday from 1:00 till 6:00 pm at V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.

Interment is in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Maury County he was the son of the late James Richard Woodson, Jr. and Clara Mae Woodson, he received his education in the Maury County school system graduating from Carver-Smith high School in the Class of 1967.

He served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970 where he received two Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, Republic Of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal Expert (M60), Army Commendation medal and Bronze Star for Sharp Shooter Rifle. He was employed by South Central Bell for twenty years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Woodson and his god mother Daisy L. Hall.

Survivors include sons Harold (Amanda) Moss of Columbia, TN and Gary Willard of New York City; daughters Shantia and Yavonna Moss of Columbia, TN. and Latoya Moss and Valene Knowles of Nashville, TN; brothers Ricky (Rochelle) Woodson, Danny Woodson, Richard (Anita) Woodson, James Moss and Larry Moss; sisters Brenda (Ricky) Carter, Angeline Woodson and Debra Bellafont; devoted step-sister Slyvia (Jerome) Perry; loving friends Annie Mclemore and Angie Pollock; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
