Mrs. Alfred Brown
The funeral of Mrs. Alfred Brown, formerly Ruby Evelyn Carey, was held from her late home in Murray Hollow Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Mrs. Brown had been ill for several months and was a great sufferer. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Lottie Bain of Arlington, Vt., and Mrs. Josie Kostenblatt of North Hoosick; her mother, Mrs. George Carey of Arlington; three sisters, Mrs. Sarina Hard of Shaftsbury, Mrs. Hattie Dickerman and Mrs. Frank Walker of Hinsdale, N.H.; one stepsister, Mrs. Franklin Sharkey of Arlington, and two brothers, Ralph of Dayton, Ohio and Hawley of Tracy, Conn. Rev. William Patterson of the Shushan U.P. church had charge of the funeral services and interment was in Woodlands cemetery at Cambridge.
