Amy D'Aun Quillen Lee, 48, died Monday, March 3, 2014, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. in First
Baptist Church of Canyon with the Rev. Kyle Streun, pastor of First Baptist Church of Hereford, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

Amy D'Aun Quillen Lee was born Sept. 5, 1965, in Dalhart to Ray and Betty Morris Quillen. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1984, and in 1985 was named Miss Hereford. She received a bachelor and a master's degree from West Texas State University. Amy married Rex Lee in 1986 in Hereford.

She loved her dream job, teaching art at Tascosa High School and thought of each student as her own. She was very creative and was passionate about her art. She also enjoyed craft shows, music and singing.

Amy saw the beauty in everything, and everyone she met quickly became her friend. She served as president of Tri-State Art Association and loved her ladies group at First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dr. Don Quillen; a niece, Nicki Quillen; and a brother-in-law, Rick Lee.

Survivors include her husband, Rex Lee; a daughter, Keeley, of Canyon; two
brothers, Gary and Billy Quillen, both of Hugo, Okla.; parents-in-law, Rocky and Helen Lee of Amarillo; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ren and Linda Lee of Arlington; a sister-in-law, Leslie Lee of Amarillo; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be to a favorite charity.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
