ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. Fredrick G. Tillman, a native of Mobile who resided in Adairsville, Ga., died Sunday at a hospital in a Rome, Ga.

Tillman, 79, was a retired superintendent for Woolco. He resided in Alabama most of his life before moving to Adairsville.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Bowman Tillman of Adairsville; three daughters, Regina Rettig of Mobile, Linda McClure of Nashville, Tenn., and Dorothy Stanley of Adairsville; a son, Fredrick M. Tillman of Mobile; two brothers, Oliver Tillman of Louisiana and Joseph ''Duke'' Tillman of Alabama; three sisters, Irene Poiroux, Edith Willard and Viola Gazzier, all of Mobile; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight after 6 o'clock at R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home in Adairsville. Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at East View Cemetery in Adairsville. --------
