He was born June 25, 1944 in Durant, Oklahoma to Henry Elick White and Ruth Matline Snelgrove White. Oscar served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Ellen Anderson on July 3, 1965 in Estherville, Iowa. Oscar was Past Master and a member of the Roanoke Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; children, Bernette White Lindamood and husband, Steve and John Paul White and wife, Denise; six grandchildren, Corey, Forrest, Lexie, Emily, Caleb and Hannah and siblings, Billie Ann Paddock, Smith Wayne "Son" White, H.O. White, Kendell Elick White, Joe Kelly White, Sylvia Jean Lorance, Syble June Clark, Nancy Leona Perry, Jackie Paul White, Barbara Sue Edwards, Bonnie Faye Myers, Bennie Dean White, Patricia Dawn Jenkins and Patrick Henry White, and many nieces and nephews who loved him.
