She was born on April 19, 1928 to the late Louis and Edna Hieb in Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene "Gene" Pitstick; brothers: Robert, Raymond, Carl and Louis Hieb Jr.; sisters: Ann Moore, Margaret and Marie Hieb as well as her beloved grandson, Austin Pitstick.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Gene (Barbara) Pitstick, Jeff (Diane) Pitstick, Maggie (Terry) Lee, Sarah (Richard) Adkins, Nick (Natalie) Pitstick and Matt (Jodi) Pitstick; grandchildren: Mark, Brian (Kristen), Lisa (Pete), Laura (Quincy), Cassandra (Mike), Katelyn, James (Carol), Adam (Michelle), Christina, Mike (Bridget), Suzy (Brandon), Nick Jr. (Ellen), Angela (Adam), Ben (Tara), Stephanie, Cody, Grace and Luke-Eli and 17 great-grandchildren.
Edna grew up in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Julienne High School, two weeks after graduation she married her beloved Gene and they were together 63 years until he passed in 2009.
Edna was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and worked hard on the family farm. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Yellow Springs from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Anthony Geraci officiating.
Burial at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
