Barbara Grace (Presley) Rushing, age 83 of Marshall, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 05, 2014 at her home with loved ones at her side. She was born in Flora, Illinois on July 21, 1930 to Cecil and Grace Presley. She and her parents moved to Marshall, Arkansas when she was one year old, where she has been a lifelong resident.

Barbara met the love of her life, Conrad Rushing, and married on August 21, 1953. To this union was born one son and two daughters. During her years of employment, she worked as a bookkeeper for various local car dealerships and other individual businesses. Barbara was a strong Christian and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. At age fourteen, she was baptized in the Buffalo River at Gilbert by Brother G.B. Keeter of Flippin, who was the Pastor of the Gilbert Church at that time. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Marshall and taught Sunday school, as well as volunteering her services wherever needed. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved spending time with them, watching them as they played volleyball and basketball, and teaching them her special basketball shot. Barbara also helped her children and grandchildren with their Boy Scout and Girl Scout activities. She was always there for her children and grandchildren and was a good Christian example and influence in their lives. Barbara always wore a smile and was willing to help a friend or neighbor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Leroy Presley and Sarah Grace (Cisne) Presley-Jennings; step-father, Barr Jennings; her husband of 46 years, A. Conrad Rushing; and grandson, Brian Cody Stancell.

Barbara is survived by one son, Alan Rushing of Clearwater, FL; two daughters, Cecila Hill and husband Warren of Marshall, AR and Connie Myrick and husband Danny of Leslie, AR; eight grandchildren, Jason McDaniel of Selma, AR, JaNae' McDaniel of Marshall, AR, Jennifer Kellebrew and husband Matthew of Conway, AR, Shawnte' Hill of Cabot, AR, Jessica Escalante and husband Anthony of Fort Carson, CO, who is currently stationed at Camp Carroll in S. Korea, NC, Justin Stancell of Fort Huachuca, AZ, Adam Myrick of Leslie, AR and Ashton Myrick of Fort Bragg, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Riley Grace, Brayden, Cameren, Kinsley, Aidan, Candace and Joshua; one brother, Travis Presley of Boulder, CO; one brother-in-law, Calvin Rushing of Bergman, AR; two nieces, Vickie Edmonson and husband Gary of Bergman, AR and Jackie Worman and husband Art of Conway, AR; and a host of other family and friends. Barbara was a wonderful, gracious lady, who will be truly missed by all.

Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
Funeral services for Barbara will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 08, 2014 at The First Christian Church in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Billy Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 08, 2014 at the church, preceding the service. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Adam Myrick, Justin Stancell, Jason McDaniel, Danny Myrick, Warren Hill and Danny Rowe. Honorary pallbearer will be Ashton Myrick.
