Son of Joseph Edward Dillant (1878–1975) & Emmerette Ellen "Emma" Buffum Dillant (1887–1957).

Byron served as a Second Lieutenant & Pilot on P-51B #43-12243, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Cheshire County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

Byron died in the "Line Of Duty" when his P-51 crashed in Florida while training during the war.

His brother, Lt. Thomas David Dillant, also died during World War II. For his record:
