Silas Edgar Thompson, died Wednesday in a Salt Lake hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Thompson was a former county road supervisor. He also was a farmer and a poultry raiser.
Born in South Cottonwood July 28, 1887, he was a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Ann Brady Thompson. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a counselor in the Sunday school and was a Boy Scout master. He was a member of the South Cottonwood ward. On Dec. 3, 1924, he married Grace Shepherd in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Mr. Thompson was a charter member of the South Cottonwood Lions club.
Surviving are his widow, a son, Lynn Thompson, two daughters, Elaine and Faye Thompson, Murray; two brothers, Joseph and Wallace Thompson, Murray; three sisters, Lucy Thompson, Murray; Mrs. Eva Evans, Union, Salt Lake county, and Mrs. Edna Thomas, Bingham, and one grandchildren.
