FLAGG, Richard W, 91, passed away November 20, 2013.
He was born in Providence, RI and grew up in Phoenix, AZ. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Mines in 1945 and worked as a Minerals Processing Metallurgist for 40 years.
He was a Legion of Honor member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, Inc. and a Life Member of the Mineralogical Society of Arizona and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, Inc. Richard enjoyed collecting minerals, especially from Arizona locations he visited as a child with his father. He also enjoyed woodworking and lapidary work.
At Richard's request, there will not be a Memorial Service. Please consider a donation to your favorite charity in his memory.
